Last week my RL (that’s real life) bestie did a post on her blog, Stay Blonde, Ski Local called Thursday: In or Out. I thought it was a pretty great idea so I’m giving it a try:
IN – Cherry Blossoms! They are blooming all around. Right outside of my office window, it’s pink galore. One day soon it will look like it’s snowing pink as all of the petals fall. It never fails to make me smile. There are a few outside of my house too and I couldn’t resist snapping a pic.
OUT – Looking for colored jeans. Remember this post? I have tried on several pairs of colored jeans since then and still haven’t found any that are flattering. Every pair I’ve tried on is like skin tight leggings. I’d really like more of a straight leg skinny jean. I’m still in search but I’m not getting my hopes up. I’ve opted to invest in sun dresses and this romper instead:
Old Navy $29.50
Had a coupon, $20 off a purchase of $40
IN – Schmidt from New Girl. If you aren’t watching this show, please watch an episode on demand immediately. Schmidt’s quotes are by far the funniest. This week they played a drinking game called True American and it looked awesome. Check out the rules and a clip here. The floor is lava! 1, 2, 3, 4, JFK! FDR! Educational and amusing.
OUT – Going out. I’m not sure what happened but somewhere along the way, this became less fun. I think I’ve been out four times since January. It makes me feel old but I also accomplish more during the weekends because I’m not spending my days hungover. I still have the fun me in there somewhere; I just save her for special occasions.
This guy pretty much sums up age 24:
And to end on an positive (sorority style),
IN – Lunch dessert. I invented it recently. You know when break and bake cookies are on sale and you just can’t say no? Oh, that’s just me? I go home everyday at lunch and make myself a healthy meal. Then, as I’m running out the door, I’ll grab an uncooked break and bake cookie as my lunch dessert. Pillsbury, you are totally ridiculous to even bother putting “do not consume raw dough” right on the front of the package. It’s just asking to be ignored.
Have a wonderful day!
