Hello hello and welcome to another edition of Lifted Her Look where I recap everything I wore last week and who I lifted my looks from.
As always – no pressure to buy. I’m trying to make my wardrobe work for me and as you’ll see below, I buy lots of my clothing secondhand. If trendy clothes aren’t in your budget, I’d encourage you to explore your local Goodwill, Plato’s Closet, or online at Poshmark or Thread Up.
Also, don’t forget to use ebates for additional cash back. Download the ebates browser extension and you get a little notification on any shopping site you go to with a reminder to “activate” the cash back option. It’s super easy. I’ve gotten tons of cash back from my online Christmas shopping!
I always do the entire post and then come back to the top and decide which outfit was my favorite of the week. After looking them all over, this was my favorite this week:
Alright, let’s get started with the looks…
Day 17

I chose this look by Jennifer because I liked the chambray under the cropped sweater. Her chambray was a little longer and more oversized but I think I made it work. I also swapped out suede boots for mules, since I don’t have boots that color and didn’t think my boots would work quite as well.
Chambray is very old via Banana Republic Factory. It’s very similar to this one from Old Navy that is currently on sale for $20 plus 20% off plus 6% cash back via ebates.
Sweater is Forever 21 via Plato’s Closet.
Jeans are ASOS via Plato’s Closet.
Shoes are the Kristin Cavallari Mules. I almost want them in black before they stop selling them!
Day 18
I’m a flat lay come to life! Jenn is a longtime favorite so I decide to try this simple look but added a striped tee underneath for extra fun.

Here’s my version:
My striped tee that I layered underneath the sweater and cuffed is from Target. It’s the best striped tee for layering! It’s this one and it’s $10 or two for $18.
My sweater is from Plato’s Closet.
The jeans are the Levi’s 311 Shaping Skinny Jeans. I love them! They’re the perfect high mid-rise for doing a little front tuck of your sweaters or shirts. I’ve been wearing them constantly. I got them from Poshmark. This pair (super similar to mine) is on clearance for $27!
My booties are from Sole Society and are no longer available.
Day 19
How cute is Hillary? The image above is clickable to go directly to her post on liketoknow.it.
I realize this outfit would be exponentially cuter if I was a. Pregnant and b. somewhere fabulous in Europe. But here’s me in my Philadelphia row house, not pregnant.
My sweater is this the Old Navy slouchy garter stitch turtleneck sweater. I’m so glad I bought it. It’s great with a little front tuck; it’s great without one. It just seems to go with every outfit.
My leggings were a gift but they are these Spanx leggings. I like them but don’t love them. If I was going to spend my own money, I’d get these Aerie 7/8 Move Leggings which are currently on sale for $22. They’re still my all-time favorite (but they were dirty when I wore this ha). They provide a nice compression and make my legs look better than they are.
My coat is this one from J. Crew. I’m so in love with this coat, you guys. It’s almost as warm as my down coat but looks much more stylish. I’m so glad I bought it when it was on sale! Ooh, just checked and it’s 40% off right now. It’s still SUCH a splurge but was worth it for me because I’ll wear it every day all winter for the next mmm 5 years at least.
Booties are Sole Society. You know what I was just thinking? I have never bought a pair of boots or booties from Sole Society that was uncomfortable or ever gave me blisters. Pretty great.
Day 20
You guys, this outfit made me feel so stylish. I’m still loving the straight leg (Mom) jeans with booties. Who knew!?

Another one by Jennifer! I didn’t mean to do two in the same week from the same person but it just happened. Oops.
My white t-shirt is from Gap Factory. They still sell it in a striped version here for $8.99. Of note for nursing mamas – this is a scoop-neck in the front and the back. It was perfect for breastfeeding! I bought two of them because I realized how easy it was to pull it off my shoulder to nurse.
My sweater has so much sentimental value. One of the last pictures of me pregnant was of me trying this on (in yellow) in the Loft dressing room. You can see that photo here. It looks like I shoplifted a bowling ball. I ordered it in rose and it came in the mail after Ben was born and I proceeded to wear it every day in the NICU. More on NICU life here. They’re selling the same sweater in a Christmasy plum on Loft Outlet for $19.99 here.
Jeans are from H&M for $10. You know those red tag specials they do? Those always get me.
Booties are from Sole Society. Man, I probably wear these too much.
Day 21
I loved this look on Amanda from Pardon Muah and I had almost the exact same top and bottom. I opted to do a tuck in of the shirt because it looked better that way on me. She posted this on liketoknow.it but not on her actual instagram so click the photo below to go directly to liketoknow.it.
Here’s my version:
Flannel shirt is this one from Old Navy. I have it in the Red Tartan.
Let me tell you about these jeans. If you live in a cold climate, you need them. I rarely say that because saying you “need” something is so silly. But these Built-In Warm Rockstar jeans are the best. They’re amazingly warm and I’m so glad I bought them. They are an ankle length and I bought them in a 26 short and kind of wish I’d not bought the short size.
Booties are Sole Society.
Day 22
I’ve been loving the product search feature on liketoknow.it, especially with this challenge. I wanted to wear this sweater so I searched “oversized turtleneck” and that’s how I found Lindsay.

Here’s my version:
I almost feel like I cheated on my own challenge because I did by this sweater recently. I had sent it to my bestie at least three times and finally she was like JUST BUY IT ALREADY. I knew it would be one of those things I’d keep thinking about until eventually I decided to buy it, at which time they’d be out of my size or the color I wanted (this is totally my M.O.).
Anyway, it’s this AE Slouchy Turtleneck Sweater in Tan. I got it on sale (it’s still on sale for $34) but I got free shipping and cash back from ebates. Right now the ebates offer is 2%.
Jeans are my ASOS black jeans I got at Plato’s Closet.
Booties are these Barris Block Heel Booties from Nordstrom. Before I took this picture I had already walked two miles in them and was completely comfortable. It’s the perfect heel height, in my opinion. Perfect for short gals who feel like they need a little heel on a bootie but also hate walking in actual heels.
Hat is from Abercrombie last year. They still sell it here (though the cream is sold out).
Phew, another week down! I think I’ll do my last 8 days and then do my final post. Are you enjoying this challenge? I’m thinking I might turn it in to a weekly thing that I do, with a monthly recap. Let me know if you’d like to see it continue!
