Before I came to Pittsburgh, I was fairly certain that all I’d find here is steel mills and and a lot of yellow. This is obviously based on the only thing I knew about Pittsburgh at all: The Steelers.
It’s the same reason I assume all men in Boston are good looking and preppy.
(Tom Brady)
And that Philly is a city that’s a little rough around the edges.
(Eagles embracing Michael Vick)
Although I know that to be true.
And wouldn’t ya know?
I was dead wrong about Pittsburgh.
Check out these snapshots I grabbed from the rental car:
It was truly charming.
They call it the city of bridges.
Okay, maybe they weren’t so creative with that one.

Pittsburgh, I’m sorry I misjudged you.
You were everything I never thought you would be.
Beautiful.
Small town feel in a big city.
Oh-so green.
And mountains!
Thanks for teaching my not to judge a city before I visit.
With love,
Nadine
