The Ceremony and Reception

Remember how I said I’d be back “soon” with more wedding photos? Twenty-Something days counts as soon right? Man I’m out of practice at this blogging thing.

So like I said before, our ceremony was simple and meaningful and our reception was a raging party. It was exactly what we wanted.

Funny story – we actually lost the final version of our wedding ceremony (thanks to a Google drive blunder) and re-wrote most of it at 1pm the day of our wedding while I was mid hair-do. Not gonna lie, I’m pretty proud of the lack of freak out on my part when this happened. We had spent a lot of time finding exactly what we wanted to say to each other so thankfully we were able to piece it back together.

[Just checked my email and I sent the email FINAL CEREMONY at 2:14pm on our wedding day. Nothing like doing things at the last minute!]

Here’s what we went with:

All that I am and all that I have, I offer to you and in love and in joy. I take you as you are, loving who you are now and who you are yet to become. From this day forward I will hold you close, prize you above all others, and remain faithful to you. I will love you and have faith in your love for me, through all our years and all that life may bring us.

We also picked all of our own music and went with mostly movie scores. I walked down the aisle to the theme from About Time. You can listen to it here. I walked out at exactly 1:04.

And now the pictures. Again, all photography by Ashley and Tyler Errington of Ashley Errington Photography. We love love love them and choosing them as our photographers was probably the best wedding decision we made. Enjoy.

So yeah, we had an awesome time. The thing about weddings is that your own wedding will always be your favorite. When will we ever have everyone we love in one room again? I’m gonna go with never. It’s probably the only life event that you can summon everyone you know and love to come to one place and be like LOOK AT ME! LOOK AT US! So as silly as weddings can feel, I’m glad we did it. I’m glad we threw the big party.

But mostly I’m glad that I’m married to this guy. Happy 2 months Mr. B.
