Broadway! Beauty and the Beast

As I mentioned in my Friday’s Letters, the beau got us tickets to see Beauty and the Beast on Broadway (on tour in Philly) for our 1 year anniversary. I honestly couldn’t imagine a better gift. Does he know me, or does he know me? He knows me way too well.

No better place for a outfit pic than the parking garage! (Does anyone else wish there was a font for sarcasm?)

Dress: H&M $29.95
Necklace: Ebay $5
Shoes: Steve Madden (5 years ago!) $39?

We headed in to the beautiful theatre. You know how old theaters are always so detailed and stunning? Well this one did not disappoint.

{Note: We all know I’m not a professional photographer. Add dim lighting and me not knowing what aperture means and well, you get the below. Sorry!}

During the performance you can’t take any pictures but let me tell you, the costumes were fabulous! Fortunately, I was able to dig up some photos online.

Gaston and Co. doing an awesome number where they clanked their glasses together to make a beat.

Mrs. Pots! She was always a favorite of mine and she did a perfect rendition of Tale as Old as Time. I may have cried.

And last but not least, Belle and the Beast:

My favorite part was when they transformed the beast into the prince. Both Naveed and I were like HOW DID THEY DO THAT? It was magical and kind of defied gravity.

If the tour is coming to your area, I’d strongly suggest seeing it. If you have children, bring them. There were tons of kids in the audience. And while many were a little fussy at first, after a few minutes they were mesmerized.

Have you seen any Broadway shows (on tour or in NYC)? Are their any others you’d suggest? I’ve seen Mama Mia and I’d love to see more shows. It really is an experience like no other.

Happy Wednesday!
